Feng Mao Mutton Kebab in Korean Town

Heard about this Feng Mao Mutton Kebab place in Korean town a while ago, and the reviews on yelp.com are quite good, so decided to give it a try yesterday.  This is a place that you bbq meats on skewers yourself at the table.

We went there around 6PM, the place was small and quite empty then.  Because of the place is operated by Korean Chinese, we were served with those typical Korean side dishes right away when we sat down.  We first ordered 1 order of lamb kebabs (10 skewers), cartilages (1 skewer), chicken gizzards (5 skewers), Chinese style cold cucumber salad and a big bottle of Korean beer to start with.

The waitresses there were very friendly, they told us since this was our first time there, they would bbq the skewers for us.  The meats came out very favorful and tender.  I loved the cartilages, so I immediately ordered 2 more orders of them then I also ordered beef belly and some kind of beef thing.  I also like the beef belly, quite chewy. But I hated the other beef thing, it was tough like a cardboard.

After we finished what we ordered, we still felt hungry so I told the waitress we wanted to order another order of lamb kebabs.  When she brought the skewers over, she looked at me and said you guys ate a lot but you looked so skinny.  Hahahaha, should I take that as a compliment?  :-P

Overall, I like the place, something different.  Too bad the drive is a little bit too far.  Here are the 2 pictures I took:

After the dinner, we stopped by the Grove to take a walk and some pictures.  There were tons of people at the Grove, the 8 story parking structure was almost completely full.  It took us about 10 mins to find a parking spot at the 8th floor, which never happened before not even during Christmas seasons!  Crazy.

It was a very pleasant night last night, light breeze and very comfortable weather.  Good day to be out and take a stroll.  We also went to BN to have a piece of White Chocolate Raspberry Cheese cake and Starbuck latte to finish the night off.
